The SRTB-RC is a National Institute of Justice program and part of the National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center System. The purpose of the SRTB-RC is to assist law enforcement agencies with less than 50 sworn officers in creating the agencies' Web sites. The staff at SRTB-RC used a popular and common content management system to setup each agency's site as a subdomain through SRTB-RC's own Web site. By using the SRTB-RC Web site, participating agencies pay only the registration fee required to register their individual URL. This helps keep costs low for all agencies. The staff at the center was also involved in developing a guide that will enable interested agencies to gather the information that they wish to place on their Web sites.
